Kitchen Remodeling in North-Central West Virginia

Rebuild your kitchen from the studs out — layout, cabinets, countertops, electrical, and plumbing, all under one contract.

The kitchen is the hardest-working room in the house, and in a lot of North-Central West Virginia homes it's also the most dated — closed off from the rest of the house, short on counter space, and wired for the 1980s. Title Construction offers kitchen remodeling in Morgantown, Bridgeport, Clarksburg, and Fairmont — rebuilding kitchens from the studs out: layout, cabinets, countertops, electrical, plumbing, and all.

A kitchen remodel done right changes how the whole house feels. Walls come down, light comes in, and suddenly the kitchen is somewhere people want to be instead of somewhere they pass through. Projects range from cosmetic refreshes to full gut renovations, with every trade managed under one contract so you're not coordinating plumbers, electricians, and tile setters on your own.

How the Process Works

1. On-site consultation. Start with how you actually use the kitchen. Do you cook every night or mostly reheat? Is it one cook or two? Do you need an island, a pantry, a place for the kids to do homework? The answers should drive the layout more than any magazine photo.

2. 3D rendering. Every Title Construction consultation includes a free 3D rendering. You see your new kitchen — cabinets, island, lighting, finishes — before demolition starts. This is where the details get caught: is the island too close to the fridge, does the pendant lighting actually land over the island, does the layout work for the way you move. Design revisions at this stage are cheap; changes during construction are not.

3. Selections and ordering. Cabinet lead times are the most common delay in kitchen remodeling — ordering early is how a good project avoids it.

4. Build. Demo, rough plumbing and electrical, drywall, cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, fixtures, paint. The work area should be sealed off from the rest of the house with daily cleanup. Get a schedule up front and expect honest updates if anything shifts.

What's Included in a Typical Kitchen Remodel

Scope varies, but a full kitchen remodel generally includes:

  • Demolition and disposal of the old kitchen
  • Layout changes, including removing non-load-bearing walls (and load-bearing walls with proper engineering)
  • New cabinets — stock, semi-custom, or custom, your choice
  • Countertops: granite, quartz, butcher block, or laminate
  • New sink, faucet, and plumbing connections
  • Electrical: recessed lighting, pendant lights, under-cabinet lighting, dedicated circuits for appliances
  • Backsplash tile and new flooring
  • Drywall, paint, and trim
  • Appliance hookup coordination

It's also worth planning for the small things people forget: where the microwave goes, whether there's an outlet where you'll actually plug in the coffee maker, and whether the trash pullout fits next to the sink.

Planning Your Timeline

Timelines vary with scope. A cosmetic refresh — new countertops, backsplash, paint, fixtures, keeping the existing cabinets and layout — moves fastest. A full remodel with new cabinets, layout changes, and new flooring takes longer. The biggest variable is material lead times: custom cabinets can take many weeks to arrive, which is why ordering should happen before demo starts.

Plan on being without a full kitchen for most of the project. A temporary kitchen setup (microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker) elsewhere in the house with a clear path to it is standard practice. It's a few weeks of inconvenience for a kitchen you'll use every day for the next twenty years.
